AA batteries in Mexico not the same size as American, and don’t fit my electric razor
Top comment:
TIL why my Eneloops bought in the US feel bulkier. They still fit though, might be a tolerance issue on the razor.

Bike got stolen.. bought a lock for the new one.. they sawed through the post 🥸
Top comment:
This happened to me literally 50 years ago (I'm an old coot of 71 now).
I bought a new bike and decided to take security seriously, so I bought one of those "Kryptonite" locks: they were very new then and were "guaranteed" to be immune to attempts to saw through them.
So I locked to bike to one of those huge "No Parking" poles.
Sure enough, next day, someone had sawed through the "No Parking" pole.
I am not amused to see that this sort of crap is still going on. Sorry for you, OP!

My school managed to download an extension on my PERSONAL laptop that monitors my website activity
Top comment:
Are you signed into Chrome on your personal computer using the same Google Account that is on your school computer? If so, the Chrome Sync feature is why this happened, not your school's IT department. It's designed to replicate your Chrome experience across multiple computers so everything is fluid.
If you remove the extension, it will also be removed from your school computer where you are also signed in, perhaps. You will need to use a different Chrome profile at home to avoid this.

My sister is a special needs teacher. School rule is to confiscate phones if they make a noise. Another teacher heard the phone and took this...
Top comment:
Reminds me of a story I heard years ago where a kid was going to be suspended for brining a Lego gun to school. It wasn't a fake gun made of Legos, it was a tiny gun that fit in a Lego mini's hand.

I was given empty Chick-fil-A gift cards for teacher appreciation
Top comment:
They were hacked I bet. My sister sent me a gift card for Target in the mail a few months ago; I tried to use it and it was already zeroed out. After being on the phone with Target for a very long time, they agreed to send me a new one, but they were not happy about it and said they would do it only that one time. I did a ton of research online and discovered people are doing this all over the place; physically taking handfuls of gift cards out of the store, peeling off the pins, adding them to their accounts and then bringing the cards back into the stores. Then, when innocent people purchase the gift cards, the cards are already zeroed out. Its super messed up.
